MBB receives JAMS Foundation award

Jams Award 2014 04-07-14On Friday April 4, the JAMS Foundation  awarded the Sixth Annual Warren Knight Award to Mediators Beyond Borders. The award which is accompanied by a check for $25,000, recognizes the work MBB has done with local organizations, grassroots collaborations and leaders that positively impact conflict resolution culture around the world.

“The work MBB does is perfectly aligned with the mission of the JAMS Foundation and we have proudly partnered with them on a number of projects,” said David Brandon, managing director of the JAMS Foundation. “We are thrilled to provide MBB with this grant. We know it will provide additional access and support as they work to increase advocacy, awareness and training in much needed areas.”

“We thank the JAMS Foundation for its recognition and very generous contribution to MBB,” said Prabha Sankaranarayan, Incoming President, CEO and a Founding Member. “This grant will allow us to promote mediation, dialogue and other conflict resolution processes in areas and among groups that might otherwise not have access to these processes”.

The event was attended by project team leaders and past and current MBB Board members (pictured below) most of whom have also served on US and international Project Teams: Ximena Bustamante,  Alan Gross, Tom Valenti, Woody Mosten, Marvin Johnson, Lynne Cole, Prabha Sankaranarayan, Charlie Pillsbury and Courtney Bourns.
