Services
Through its volunteers, MBB offers a wide range of conflict resolution services at no cost to communities and partners, principally in the following areas:
- Grassroots Conflict Resolution Capacity-Building: MBB works collaboratively in troubled locales around the world to strengthen and build the capacity of communities to prevent, resolve, and heal from conflicts in culturally appropriate and sustainable ways.
- Mediation for International Peace Groups and Organizations:
MBB offers highly skilled volunteer mediators, on an as needed basis, to international peace-building groups and organizations that are doing useful and important work and cannot afford to hire mediators.
- Mediation Advocacy: MBB advocates for and promotes the use of mediation and other conflict resolution processes as the initial and primary approach to resolving conflict, as opposed to initiating threats of violence or the use of violence. MBB works with US, UN, and other government and civil society leaders to foster and expand understanding and support for dispute resolution practices.
