Sukriti Kalra is a third-year student at Colgate University double majoring in International Relations and Economics. She is from Singapore, which helped cultivate her passion for learning about different cultures, countries and their interactions, and believes it is incredibly important to utilize multiple viewpoints in analyzing issues and conflicts. She is also interested in learning about the various ways peacebuilding can be implemented to assist in a variety of different situations. Sukriti has recently worked with the Middle East Insitute in Singapore to learn more about the region and its culture and volunteers with the government in Singapore listening to complaints from constituents to connect them to the appropriate organisations that would then assist in resolving their grievances. At Colgate, Sukriti heads the student government budget allocations committee that allocates funds to over 200 student groups on campus as well as volunteering to work with refugees in Utica. In her free time, Sukriti enjoys playing water polo, cooking, playing with her dog, and watching movies with friends.
