She has received her bachelor’s degree in literature from Kabul and Shanxi University of China. She had worked as a journalist in the Parliament of Afghanistan and currently\, she is working in the consulate department of the Chinese embassy in Kabul. She has also served as a teacher in China and Afghanistan and has participated in different national and international conferences regarding youth empowerment\, gender equality\, peace\, and development. Hella is an active member of her community raising awareness regarding education\, women’s roles in peace and politics. Heela is the Global Peace Ambassador for Afghanistan for Global Peace Chain and is the diplomat learner of Repha Institute of Peace and Diplomacy in Islamabad\, Pakistan. In addition to her research and writing\, she is also selected as a youth ambassador from the international youth society. She owns a business through which she supports humanitarian advocacy work\, especially focusing on education and raising awareness of its importance in rural areas where most of the people do not have access to education. \n

She co/leads MBBI’s recent partnership with Rotary International\, a global network of 1.2 million members\, with NAFCM\, a North American network of over 300 mediation centers and the recently formed TRUST Network the first Early Warning and Response platform in the USA. \nShe is a conflict transformation practitioner who has mediated\, facilitated and trained in Europe\, Asia\, Africa and the USA.  Her public and private sector work includes conflict analysis for public/private partnerships\, consultation & assessment for industrial development zones\, design and implementation of trainings for multinational corporations; inter faith dialogues as well as facilitation of multi-stakeholder mediations.   \nIn her capacity as CEO of MBBI she designs conflict transformation and capacity building programs around the world\, serves as a consultant for companies\, policy makers\, governments\, universities and groups engaged in civil resistance and serves as an advisor on the role of women in peace and security. \nPrabha is involved in regional\, national and international civic activities focused on civil liberties\, violence prevention\, conflict mitigation & mediation and the recovery & rehabilitation of trauma survivors. Below are some details on PPRC to help you in your preparation. \n\n\nCONFERENCE DETAILS: \nWhen: November 23-24\, 2022 \nWhere: Siem Reap\, Cambodia (final venue TBA) \nConference Fee: $150 \n\nFee Inclusions: Lunch and snacks for 2 days\, dinner for 1 night\, conference venue\, and materials.\nPayments can be sent through bank transfer or paid at the event. \n\nTRAVEL INFORMATION: \n\nEach participant is responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements.\nThe conference proper will begin on the morning of November 23 and close on the evening of November 24. A few years living in New Zealand made a gap in her Rotary life\, however\, 2002 saw Tanya back in Canada and back in Rotary. \nDistrict wise Tanya has worked in the Youth Exchange program from 2002 for approx 10 years overlapping years in RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Camps) from 2006 for about 10 years. District Chair of RYLA for 4 of those. In addition\, for 7 years she ran the Youth Conference along side the Main District Conference. \nLooking at new ways to stretch and grow in Rotary she has now moved out of the Youth Programming and into District Membership when the idea of officially linking the youth Alumni to our District was formed. \nOn a personal side\, Tanya has an amazing sixteen year old daughter\, Georgia\, she was super proud to be on the Executive of her Interact Club in her Grade 10 year. Currently doing Grade 11 in Denmark thanks to the Wenatchee Confluence Rotary Club in Washington\, USA. A repeat of Grade 11 is in the future when back in Canada but nothing replaces a lifetime in a year like Rotary Youth Exchange. \nTo fund life\, Tanya owns a small yet fabulous house painting company on the Sunshine Coast in BC. \n

Her in-house HR roles at Diageo\, Sony Music and Hilton International were formative\, and enabled her to develop a freelance consulting practice that has served a diverse range of clients for over 20 years. Training as a civil and commercial mediator started out as a way to broaden her offering to clients and prompted a whole new focus on dispute resolution\, conflict coaching\, restorative practice and non-violent communication. This has included volunteering as a Restorative Justice Tutor at a men’s prison\, a Community Mediator in two London Boroughs\, and facilitating circle discussions about racial justice and equality in various contexts. \nSharon established Peacewell in 2018 as a not-for-profit offering mediation\, training and conflict coaching and completed a Masters in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies at King’s College London in 2021. Her particular area of interest is in facilitating cross- community dialogue in post-conflict societies and she recently became a Trustee of Corrymeela\, the oldest peace and reconciliation centre in Northern Ireland. \n

Attendees will have an opportunity to offer their ideas regarding how to advocate for women and girls in the context of United Nations-related initiatives. \n\nDr. Estera Borcsa is passionate about peace building on a global level\, international law\, empowering women and breaking generational curses in children impacted by complex trauma. Estera earned her doctoral degree from California Baptist University\, where her dissertation focused on global diplomacy\, and where she designed “Peace Unleashed\,” a diplomacy training program based in neuroscience. She received a master’s degree from the University of Southern California with a concentration in Psychology\, Policy and Law. Estera serves as the chair for the SDGs for MBBI’s UN Multilateral Working Group and is on the National Board of Directors for the United Nations Association.

Chijoke Ibeku Nnanna\n\n \nOwing to the high level of conflict in the world and narrowing it down to Africa and further down to Nigeria\, we decided within our humble space to contribute our quota in reducing these conflicts  to the barest minimum by introducing the practice of peer mediation in Nigeria  and by extension Africa. It is indeed most pertinent to emphasise that our firms \, Three C’s Met Mediators\, Three C’s Met International Institute Of Mediation Negotiation Counseling and Conciliation/ Centre For Peer Mediation and Peace Building are the pioneers of these unique facet of mediation We have gone about the introduction of this by writing a proposal to the authorities responsible for school management to approve schools wherein children ranging from the ages of 7years to 15years attend.\nThey have graciously approved our proposal thus granting us access to a 1000schools for us to commence this training. \nHowever \,owing to the limited disposal of funds available to us \, we have decided to take the schools in batches . Thus \, we teach this practice to five schools with a total number of 20children.\, 5 coordinators ( teachers ) and two supervisors from the authority responsible for educating this practice. Further to this \, every quarter  of the year \, we certify as peer mediators a total number of 60children. Thus far \, we have Certified 100children. The first batch of children were certified on December 15th \, 2022 \, while the second batch was certified on the 1st of April \, 2023. We have in our template to certify a total number of 300children in December\, 2023 being the end of the year . \nIt is out considered opinion that by these skills we seek the children to imbibe and practice \,that they would be able to relate much better across the borders of religion \,tribe and culture. Also that they will possess the skills of preventing issues from degenerating to disputes and further to conflicts . We have also via this programme ensured that there is no generational gap in the practice of mediation as these children \,at least some of them may consider being Mediators in future..More comprehensively put \, conflict resolution experts . One can only imagine the positive ripple effects of this programme if by providence these children find themselves in positions of influence in future. To have achieved this remarkable success thus far without sounding immodest \,I must commend the faculty / Team in our firms : Margaret Chijioke Ibeku\, Patrick Mcphilamy III\, Lisa Singh\, Intan Sarit \, Sonal Kharbanda\, Kathleen Ruane Leedy\, Lama Audi\, Natalia\, Nidhi Lama and recently new members \, Renata E. Valree \, Jean Lawler and Doug Spoors for the wonderful work they have put in . \nDespite the time differences across the continents these individuals from America to Malaysia to India \, Brazil and to Lebanon make out time to attend our weekly sessions with these children In a week \, we would be in Three different schools in different Area Councils in the capital of Nigeria : Abuja. Also my children and staff  contribute their quota by taking the pictures of the sessions \, getting food \, drinks for the children and helping to serve them It is instructive to note that we feed 60childten weekly \, transport them and pay their teachers monies for being with them till we finish the class on peer mediation. By virtue of work thus far \, a lot of people across the continents have reached out for us to introduce our concept to them We have established a platform in Utah in the united States \, Peru \, Asia via Law Students Association of Asia and soon to come on board \, India and Brazil .

In their recent article\, they make a case for the significance of attending to implicit goals and issues in addition to explicit ones in conflict interventions and the essential role of RP in building excellence in practice. The multidimensional Structured Reflective Instrument (SRI) was designed to help improve our ability to address the complex social-psychological underlying issues driving conflict decisions and outcomes. \nThe SRI can be used for preparation\, during and after an intervention\, and is most effective for learning from our experiences and improving practice if used systematically and with colleagues. Collective reflection boosts the learning experience\, improves skills through exchanging perspectives\, and is a vital and practical tool for building professional excellence. \nMichael and Tzofnat lead reflective peer learning groups globally\, engaging peacebuilders\, dialogue and conflict professionals\, mediators\, and organizational consultants in RP. They also run an RP SRI Certificate program that provides a safe\, shared space for practicing RP principles and the SRI. Tzofnat is the author of professional and academic articles and book chapters and has taught undergraduate\, graduate\, and MBA students and led transformative organizational processes for over two decades. She is a community and organizational mediator and delivered Certificate mediation training and numerous conflict\, negotiation\, and mediation courses. \nAs a Board Member and facilitator in peace and dialogue organizations\, she led interfaith and intergroup dialogues in the Middle East and taught politicians and government officials in Africa. As the Head of Strategy at the Conflict Resolution and Mediation Center in the Israeli Ministry of Justice\, she introduced Alternative Dispute Resolution and mediation in the country. Her involvement in the educational democratic movement in Israel\, where she conceptualized and led democratic and dialogic educational reforms\, powerfully shaped her systemic-relational approach to transforming conflict and operationalizing inclusivity.
