Beginning on May 16\, she will join the State University of New York- University at Buffalo School of Law Environmental Advocacy Clinic as a Program Specialist for Cultural & International Issues. Prior to this\, she served as a Legal Expert at the Afghanistan Legal Research and Development Organization\, leading the “Strengthening Afghan Women Judges Association Project” in Partnering with Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and Rule of Law in Kabul. She also served as Lecturer at Herat and Jami Universities in Herat. As part of her professional career\, she worked as a regional coordinator with Afghans for Progressive Thinking\, a youth-led organization working for peacebuilding in Afghanistan. Farida completed her Bachelor’s degree in Law and political science at Herat University

She is currently based out of New Haven\, Connecticut and works as a consultant for startups. She has a dual LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement from the National University of Singapore\, University of Geneva and The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies\, Geneva. She is also a trained mediator. In the past she has advised clients on trade and customs laws\, statutory compliances. She has also represented companies before the High Courts\, Tax Tribunals and Arbitration Tribunals. Her expertise comes from her experiences working with law firms and as an in-house counsel. She has completed her B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies\, Kochi.
