We are actively seeking Rotary Clubs, Rotary Districts and Rotarians who are interested in supporting this peace project. Please share this project with any Rotarians you know, and encourage them to support it. Rotary International is promoting peace-focused Global Grants, which are still rare for them so this is a great way to involve your club in a project that is likely to prevent conflict and improve the lives of people in extreme need. Rotarians can learn more about the project and contribute through Matchinggrants.
Additionally, please find a summary of frequently asked questions here, which describes the project in detail and contains a sketch budget. This is a grassroots project to help people suffering from extreme scarcity and historical tribal conflict caused by lack of water and pasture lands. “Peace Guardians” from these communities have put their lives on the line and crossed tribal boundaries to teach peace, bias recognition, listening skills, and how to care for one’s neighboring communities.
