Police Community Relations Working Group

MBBI’s Police Community Relations Working Group (PCR WG) focuses on strengthening the connections between local communities and its police. Through dialogue and trainings, this group provides a space to share ideas and connections based on mediative processes. Then the group works together to bring those ideas to the police in local communities worldwide.

The WG’s objectives are:

  • To provide support and resources to MBBI members and other practitioners who are interested in mediative approaches to community relations
  • To identify, share and compare current ADR practices with each other for the purposes of getting those practices out more widely with the police.

Co-Chairs: Sunita Kumar, Cheryl Epps, and Lisa Broderick

Calls are held on the first and third Mondays of every month. All are welcome—no prior experience working with police is necessary to attend the calls. If you are interested in receiving notifications for these meetings, please email info@mediatorsbeyondborders.org with the subject line "Police Community Relations Mailing List-Add".
