MBBI’s mission is supported by the work of Committees of the Board of Directors. The Committees include Executive, Finance, Fund Development, Governance, Membership Engagement, and Projects (including Lessons Learned, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Training).
MBBI members can participate on the Finance, Fund Development, Membership Engagement, and Project Committees. The Executive and Governance Committees are composed of Officers of the Board and Directors. If you are interested in participating in a Committee and are an MBBI member, please contact the MBBI Program Director.
Finance: The Finance Committee is responsible for reviewing and providing guidance for the organization’s financial matters. Specifically, the committee assures internal controls, independent audit, as necessary and financial analysis for the organization.

Fund Development: The Fund Development Committee provides strategic oversight and support for MBBI’s fundraising efforts.

Membership Engagement: The Membership Engagement Committee’s mission is to recruit new members and promote the satisfaction and retention of existing members.

Projects: The Projects Committee assists and guides teams throughout the life of a project. Composed of members experienced in fieldwork and management, the committee helps teams shape proposals, reviews and makes recommendations on proposals, reviews progress reports, serves as a resource for training and guidance documents, and advises on project-related policy.
