Why This Camp

Today's young people are growing up in a world where communication is constant, but opportunities to slow down, listen deeply, and engage across differences are increasingly rare.

The challenge isn't our differences.
It's how we respond to them.

At the International Peace Camp, differences in background, identity, culture, faith, race, language, and perspective are treated as strengths that deepen understanding rather than reasons for division.

Through dialogue, creative collaboration, shared experiences, outdoor activities, and practical conflict resolution training, participants develop the confidence and skills to communicate effectively, navigate disagreements, and solve problems together. They return home better equipped to strengthen relationships within their families, schools, and communities while becoming part of a growing international network of young peacebuilders.

At its core, the International Peace Camp is an investment in a generation of young people who learn these skills early, before habits of avoidance, escalation, and division become ingrained. By equipping young people today, we help prepare future leaders to approach conflict with curiosity rather than fear, transforming disagreement into opportunities for understanding, collaboration, and positive change.
