Benjamin Lutz, Ph.D.

Dr. Benjamin Lutz is the Chair and Secretary General of the Y20 2026, the youth engagement platform of the G20. He also trains and selects the USA delegation to the Y20 and Y7 annually since 2019. He holds a Ph.D. in Religion, Reconciliation, and Peace from the University of Winchester in England. His dissertation focused on interfaith dialogue initiatives in Oman and Lebanon. He holds a Master’s degree in Middle East Security Politics and Peace Studies from the University of Bradford in England and a Bachelor’s degree in International and Global Studies from Elon University in the USA. Dr. Lutz is the Founder of Al Fusaic, an education and cultural platform for resources related to the Middle East and North Africa Region, and is a Freedom of Religion and Belief (FORB) Fellow with the First Freedom Foundation. He was chosen as a 10 Under 10 in 2022 from Elon University and a 2024 40 Under 40 for the Middle East Policy Council.
