Mylene Chan
Senior Fellow - Community Mediation
Mylene Chan is a seasoned international arbitrator and mediator and UNCITRAL observer. Ms. Chan serves as Senior Consultant at the Greater Bay Area Mediation Center of CCPIT Mediation Center, Visiting Lecturer at Peking University School of Transnational Law, Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and Research Fellow at the China University of Political Science and Law Arbitration Institute. She acts as international consultant to Charles and Wilson LLP (Hong Kong) and is a former Fellow at the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (New York). She sits on mediation panels for over 20 mediation centres across China and consults with mediation centres affiliated with multiple provincial governments throughout China.
A New York lawyer with more than 20 years of cross-border transaction experience, she previously served as Attorney Advisor to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and held legal counsel roles at several international law firms and listed companies. Her qualifications include a diploma from The Juilliard School, a bachelor’s degree from Yale University, a Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School, a Harvard Law School certificate in mediation and negotiation, and an LLM in dispute resolution from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law.
