Description of the webinar:
Insight Mediation has been described as the “fourth pillar” of conflict resolution. It starts with a definition of conflict that makes sense for the relational work mediators do, with a focus on the challenging human behaviours we see every day in our work. Grounded in learning theory, Insight Mediators approach conflict through a learning lens, rather than one of containment or avoidance. In this workshop, Jacinta Gallant will introduce you to the Insight Approach to Conflict and Mediation. As we gain an understanding of the “how” and “why” of conflict behaviours, we will learn some Insight skills to more effectively interact/intervene. The goal of this workshop is to help you start asking more, and telling less, and feel the relief that comes from an approach that is grounded in understanding human behaviour.
