Description of the webinar:

Mediating water conflicts is a subset of global climate mediation. Unfortunately, due to climate change, water conflicts are on the rise: there are conflicts with regard to too much water, too little water, polluted water. Or there can be water-related conflicts, like disputes over fishing in oceans and basins, water related migration, etc. etc. These can be on a local level or a more global level. In this webinar, Linda Reijerkerk, mediator and former water consultant, will highlight some of the conflicts she has been mediating, the specific features of such conflicts and the do’s and don’ts. As in many of these conflicts, the government is involved, she will also dive into the aspect of hot-cold conflict dynamics.
