MBBI’s Delegation to the CSW 67

Every March, the UN hosts the Commission of the Status of Women (CSW) – the UN’s largest conference, in NY – that brings together thousands of women leaders alongside governments and UN agencies to shape global standards for gender equality. This March 6-17, CSW’s 67th session will focus on innovation and technological change, as well as education in the digital age. MBBI and our partners attend CSW each year to center the voices and priorities of peacebuilders, to highlight successes across the globe and raise awareness of critical issues. This year MBBI will host a delegation of members and partners working to advance innovations in collaboration, mediation and local peacebuilding from our Women in Mediation Action Group. On the page you can see the previous statements we submitted for the CSW in years past, and here is the direct link for the CSW 67 MBBI Statement.

We are hosting two events in person in New York to coincide with the CSW. The first event is on March 6: Women and Young Peacebuilders on Technology and Peacebuilding: Global Perspectives and the second event is on March 7: Unmuting the Voices of Women.

Also, here are three excellent reading materials related to this year’s theme of Innovation and Technological Change.
