Bios of the Trainers:

Gregg B. Walker is a professor of Communication and an adjunct professor in Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Oceanography, Public Policy, and Water Resources programs at Oregon State University.  He teaches courses in conflict, dispute resolution, and argumentation; and    facilitates and studies environmental policy-related collaboration efforts.  He is co-author of Working Through Environmental Conflict: The Collaborative Learning Approach (2001, Praeger), and co-editor of Breaking Boundaries: Innovative Practices in Environmental Communication and Public Participation (2019, SUNY Press) and co-editor of . Professor Walker is a member of the National Collaboration Cadre of the US Forest Service and the U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution. He leads observer teams at UN climate change meetings for Mediators Beyond Borders International and the International Environmental Communication Association.  Professor Walker serves as the “Modalities Expert” for the Paris Committee on Capacity Building, a UNFCCC Constituted Body, and is member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps.  Professor Walker was an Erasmus Mundus Professor at the University of Copenhagen in 2010, 2014, and 2017.  He served as the director of the Peace Studies Program at Oregon State University from 1988 to 2006.

Anil Changaroth is an internationally accredited mediator and ADR practitioner in the Asia-Pacific with his Areas of Expertise in dispute resolution practice that he has also Mediated on – include Civil (including Family), Commercial (including Joint Venture and Shareholders), Construction/Infrastructure/ESG and sustainability-related disputes, Cross-Border and Intercultural matters, Investor-State and Investment Disputes, Supply-Chain and Logistics issues, with experience integrating Restorative Justice approaches where appropriate. Education/Qualifications – Along with his international accreditation in Mediation, Arbitration, Adjudication and Dispute Board, Anil who holds an LLB (Hons) (University of Buckingham), an MSc in Construction and Dispute Resolution (King’s College London & National University of Singapore), graduate certificates in ESG and Sustainability, Law and Technology (AI and Machine Learning), and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, is an Advocate and Solicitor of Singapore, a Solicitor of England and Wales and was called to the Bar at the Middle Temple England.

Yasmeen Kennedy is a New York Court Certified Mediator Conflict Coach, Certified New York State Divorce Mediator, while also mediating cases nationally and globally. Yasmeen has successfully mediated a wide range of disputes, including custody and divorce cases, landlord-tenant conflicts, employment disputes, police-citizen conflicts, and human rights violations. She actively hosts community dialogue sessions, helping individuals navigate divisive issues and rediscover common ground. Her expertise extends to mediating disputes arising from climate change challenges, and she advocates for the inclusion of mediation clauses in climate agreements as a UN Delegate at Climate Change Conventions. As the head of the climate change team for Mediators Beyond Borders International, Yasmeen is at the forefront of addressing global conflict through mediation Beyond her mediation practice, Yasmeen is deeply committed to capacity-building initiatives, action planning facilitation, and conflict coaching. She also leads restorative circles, fostering healing and accountability within communities. She serves as a facilitator for the New York Division of Human Rights Hate & Bias Prevention Unit and as a Commissioner on the Judicial Review Committee for the Aurora Municipal Court. Her leadership in dispute resolution is further reflected in her memberships with the American Bar Association, the Association for Conflict Resolution, and various state bar associations.
