Responding to War, Violence, and Division with Trauma Awareness, Mindfulness and Compassion (Dec 15)

December 15, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EST

During the month of November, MBBI held two listening sessions on the topic of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Several members joined the calls to discuss the heartbreaking events, share their grief, as well as ideas and hopes. One suggestion made was for a session addressing trauma and trauma-informed approaches.

Join MBBI as we engage Henry Yampolsky in Responding to War, Violence, and Division with Trauma Awareness, Mindfulness and Compassion

This 90-minute webinar will be held twice, on December 15th, 2023, at 12ET and December 19, 2023, at 8pm ET. Register for whichever session(s) meet your schedule’s availability.

In wishing to respond to the suggestion in a timely manner, we also realize that this event is coming up very quickly. We hope that many of you can make it nonetheless. However, if fewer than 10 individuals register by the day of each webinar, we will postpone that specific session to January.

Both of these conversations will be 1.5-hour sessions and recorded. Please use the Time Zone Converter to determine when this engaging event will be in your time zone.

Description: This webinar will introduce the participants to key principles and practices of responding to war, trauma, and division and especially the current events in the Middle East, with compassion, awareness, and curiosity, instead of reacting to these phenomenons with avoidance, aggression, or fear. This webinar will also address specific ways in which we can support those most impacted and traumatized by the war.
