Speaker Bios

Charalee Graydon:

Charalee Graydon was born in Alberta, Canada. She is a writer, academic and past lawyer. She works in the areas of mediation and collaboration and is currently a faculty member at EUCLID University.

Charalee holds degrees in Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science, and a Juris Doctorate in Law. Following receipt of a Rhodes scholarship in 1982, she pursued legal studies in Oxford, England where she obtained a B.C. L degree. She holds a Ph.D. in Mediation and Conflict Resolution.

Charalee held academic positions in England, New Zealand, and Canada and now online with EUCLID. She has published three books of literary fiction. She developed programs for students, judges, and corporations on legal issues and published academic works in environmental law, sentencing and commercial law.

Elizabeth Healy

Elizabeth has a special interest in parental, family, and community both online, via ZOOM.. and in person, when this can be done safely, following current official COVID-19 restrictions and requirements. She runs a private mediation practice and also works as a volunteer with Northside Community Law and Mediation Services, (NCLMS), Dublin. She has provided successful Mediation services for Child Care Services, TUSLA clients, and for families, parents and neighbours in conflict.

Holding the Advanced Certificate in Group Analysis (School of Psychotherapy, St Vincent’s Hospital Dublin/ Irish Group Analytic Society), Elizabeth combines her skills and experience, volunteering occasionally as a facilitator with Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, in dialogue and other events involving mixed groups from Northern Ireland and the Republic.

Elizabeth is also a medical doctor, with many years of experience in Child Protection/Safeguarding at a senior level and chaired a number of formal Historical Child Abuse/Adult Safeguarding Investigations and Inquiries.

Douglas Spoors

Douglas Spoors currently serves as the EEO Education/ADR Manager for the Department of the Navy, Navy Exchange Service Command in Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States, designing and providing EEO training to over 10,000 associates world-wide as well as providing mediation services in workplace disputes and EEO complaints.

He is an attorney, mediator, trainer, and the founder of the Institute for Mixed Method Mediation. He is the author of the book Mixed Method Mediation: A Hybrid Approach to Conflict Resolution, now in its 2nd Edition. He has mediated conflicts involving employment discrimination, wrongful termination, family law, consumer debt, landlord/tenant, real estate, and workplace disputes.

He serves on the Outreach Sub-Committee for the Mediators Beyond Borders International, Climate Change Project (CCP), and on the Creative Arts Sub- Committee for the CCP. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Southern California Mediation Association and a member of the Virginia Mediation Network. In March, 2019, he received the Ambassador for Peace in Conflict Resolution Award for his contribution in the field of mediation.

He received his J.D. and L.LM. in Transnational Business Practices from the McGeorge School of Law, the latter in conjunction with the University of Salzburg, Austria. He received his facilitative mediation training from the Loyola Law School/Los Angeles, a Certificate in Transformative Mediation from Dan Simon Mediation, a Certificate in Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School, and a Certificate in Neuro Design Engineering from the Academy of Wealth and Achievement.

Iram Majid

Iram Majid is a legal professional with experience of 16+ years in handling wide range of criminal, matrimonial, civil, commercial, banking and finance matters cases inside the court as Advocate and outside the court as Mediator.

Iram had completed her LLM from KUK  University. She has undergone training in mediation and cross culture mediation from Pepperdine University, Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, USA. She has attended training in Negotiation Skill from ADR ODR INT, Dubai and certified for International Business Negotiation and as Accredited Mediator from IIAM India.

Iram is a Director of Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation. She  is  a mediator enlisted on the panel of Delhi High Court Mediation Centre SAMADHAN, as an Arbitrator with the Delhi International Arbitration Centre, Delhi High Court, as a mediator and arbitrator with the Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation (IIAM).
