Welcome MBB’s New Leadership

Dear MBB Members, Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am very pleased and excited to announce new leadership at Mediators Beyond Borders International (MBB).

In January, the MBB Board named Prabha Sankaranarayan to serve, effective February 1, 2014, as MBB’s new President & Chief Executive Officer.  Prabha has served not only as an active MBB board member, but also as MBB’s Treasurer, an Executive Committee member, and co-chair of the Governance Committee. She co-led one of MBB’s first and most successful projects in Liberia and currently is a member of the Kenya project team.

Prabha brings considerable talents to her new position as a conflict management consultant with 25 years of experience in NGO management, program and organizational development.  She has designed and facilitated interfaith dialogues in Asia and Africa. Her public and private sector work includes conflict analysis for public/private partnerships, consultation & assessment for industrial development zones, design and implementation of trainings for multinational corporations in India and the US, as well as facilitation of multi-stakeholder mediations.

The MBB Board elected our outgoing Executive Director, Charlie Pillsbury, to serve both as a new Board member and as Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee.   The Board also elected four, new and wonderfully qualified Board members to help us achieve our unfolding vision of creating a more peace “able” world:

  • Courtney Bourns, West Hartford CT, USA
  • Victoria Gray, Stevenson Ranch CA, USA
  • Jennifer Schulz, Winnipeg, CANADA
  • Elodie van Sytzama, Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS

We warmly welcome these new Board members and our new President/CEO, each of whom brings the kind of creativity, energy and commitment that MBB needs to build on what we have accomplished together over the last seven years.

Our thanks to each and all of you for your continued passion for peace and your commitment to MBB.  We simply could not have come this far without you.

In peace,

Lynn Cole

Chairperson, Board of Directors
