Words of Connection from LCPI’s Founder, Millicent Otieno
Millicent Otieno is a peacebuilder in Kenya. She has been a part of MBBI’s IPTI Faculty/community of practice and represents us at regional events.
Recognizing that conflict sensitivity and principles of good peacebuilding practices are critical even in responses to a pandemic, she brings alive what peace leaders can do. Having assessed the receptivity (low) to messages from the government, consulted with other community leaders and observed local practices of those living in the informal settlements and other communities, Millie decided that it was important to share the message herself. She, therefore, created this video.
