Elika Dadsetan is VISIONS’ Executive Director. She joined VISIONS following years of work as a director, in nonprofits and higher education, years teaching as a professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at CSUDH and NYU, and a decade of work in development and humanitarian contexts in Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia, including with the World Bank, World Vision, UNHCR, UNICEF, and UNDP. Most of her work abroad included social development, quality access to education and child protection, as well as juvenile justice, restorative practices, and psychosocial programming all over the world. Elika has her MA in Peace and Justice (Conflict Resolution and Human Rights Advocacy), JD, MSW, and is an ABD receiving her EdD.
