After 6 Years, And 20 UNFCCC Meetings, the MBBI Climate Change Policy Project is Poised for Success…

…but to achieve our goal, we need to raise $10,000 by August 15.

Climate-Change-image-stock-photo-123RF-300x258Through the generosity of several MBBI donors, MBB will match “dollar for dollarany Donation up to a total of $5,000 made for this purpose.

Here’s why we need your gifts now:

Since 2009, a dedicated project team has represented MBBI at over 20 official meetings held by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Throughout these meetings, project team members have advanced our goal:

To include mediation as a legitimate and expected dispute process within the negotiated Climate Change Agreement text for both the creation and application of policies intended to address the prevention, resolution and peaceful settlement of climate change disputes.

While MBBI has official Civil Society Observer Organization status by the UNFCCC, only a national delegation can introduce the language. Finally, after many years of hard work, we have a delegation willing to introduce the language!

The next UNFCCC intersessional meeting is in Bonn, from August 31 to September 4, 2015. In order to be present at this critical meeting — and our presence is essential if we are to achieve our goal — we need your help. We need to underwrite the cost of our team’s presence in Bonn.

We recognize that this is an extraordinary request, but it is essential, and remember MBBI will match “dollar for dollar” any Donation made for this purpose by August 15th, 2015.

With my deepest thanks,

Prabha Sankaranarayan, MBBI President & Chief Executive Officer
