MBBI’s Delegation to the CSW 68

MBBI is an ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organization (NGOs) and is invited to participate at the UNCSW 68 with the representatives of Member States, UN entities from all regions of the world.

We are pleased to announce our UNCSW 68 delegation committed to building more peace’able’ world.  Our mission is to build local capacity for peace, advocate for women’s inclusion in all peace processes and to promote mediation worldwide.

The UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and empowerment of women. The CSW is instrumental in promoting women’s rights, documenting the reality of women’s lives throughout the world, and shaping global standards. MBBI has sent a delegation for the past ten years to the CSW even at the UN.

During the Commission’s annual two-week session, representatives of UN Member States, civil society organizations and UN entities discuss progress, gaps, and further actions in the implementation of the 1995 Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, as well as emerging issues that affect gender equality and the empowerment of women.

We will host a parallel event this year alongside Young Diplomats of Canada entitled Global Voices for Reproductive Justice: An Interactive Journey
