As determined by members in the September 15, 2020 meeting, we have created a subcommittee for the CCPP to deal with matters relating to the use of the creative arts for the work of the CCPP. This is a call to our members to ask for volunteers to join this subcommittee.

 

As presented, the first decision is to review a portfolio of graphic art that has been submitted to MBBI relating to climate change designs. The artist has indicated that one design can be used without charge by MBBI  and other designs requested are to be based on the specifications. As well, it has been indicated that the artist is prepared to make changes to designs as requested. 

 

Additional matters to be decided by the Subcommittee is to look at how creative artwork may assist CCPP in promoting its work, canvassing what our members may be able to contribute or contacts they have which can result in collaborations for climate change policy projects and/or for climate action.  As our CCPP Webinars are showing us, we have the ability to attract prominent speakers from MBBI and other organizations working in the area of climate change.

 

I am sending this announcement to all of our members, however, can say that I have two people in this list that have agreed to work on the committee. I am hoping some of our new CCPP members will be interested in joining the Creative Arts CCPP committee.
